“Left! Left! Now wait… and forward!” the last little frog hops into the last empty home bay.
“That was amazing!” shouts Cassie, and leaps for joy. “I’m
so glad you were here to help! The elders will be glad to know that so many
frogs got to their home bays safely.”
You don’t say anything, because your frog throat is sore
from all the shouting. You turn and look at the distant skyscrapers… they seem
so far away, and it’s going to be dark soon.
“So… are you… going to fly away now?” asks Cassie.
What is she…? Oh… right, she thinks you’re some kind of
superfrog. Your stomach makes a noise – when was the last time you ate?
“Actually, I’m pretty hungry,” you say, as you start
thinking about little sandwiches. A frog could eat french fries, right?
“Oh! Me too!” says Cassie. “Come on, follow me!” and she
excitedly hops off into the weeds. You’re tired, but you don’t want to lose
her, and besides, you have to keep up your superfrog persona. So, you chase her
through the weeds into a marsh, and through some woods to a small pond. “This
is the place!” she shouts. “Isn’t it great?”
You look around trying to figure out where the food could
be. She leaps off of a lilypad, shoots out her tongue, and snags a big, juicy
fly. “Yum!” she shouts. “Come on,” she calls, “they’re delicious!”
At first you are revulsed, but weirdly, the idea of eating
those huge flies seems very appealing. You realize you better find a way to
turn back from a frog soon, or maybe you’ll stay this way! But… right now, you
are pretty hungry…
“Are you just going to sit there?” calls Cassie, leaping
high, and swallowing another fly. “Come on, super frog! I bet I can eat more
than you! Two points per fly, starting now!”
Two points? You wonder why. But, you gotta eat something!
Place your Frogs and
Flies cartridge into your Atari 2600. Set difficulty switches to a. Play until
you win. Post a link to a video in the comments section of yourself completing
the challenge.
Certainly easier challenge than Frogger. I had played this one before in Diff. B where there is no real control path of the trajectory of the frog so this felt like a whole new game in Diff. A! Many less flies eaten but still a good snack for sure :D

Your tongue certainly wasn't tied for that challenge! Now -- this next one... don't freak out when you see it -- I *think* you'll find it isn't as hard as it looks... at least I hope so!
